First edition, one of 1000 copies, thing one being out of series. In publisher's cloth with striking cloth dust jacket; all plates are present as called for. This is a remarkably bright copy in a similarly sharp dust jacket. Initially a more ambitious project, this first volume was the only one published by Nugent for many decades until in the late 1970s the project was resumed by others using some page proofs from a second volume that was started by Nugent but never seen through the presses. Several additional volumes were seen to fruition by Denis Hudgins. First edition copies of this first volume are quite uncommon in commerce despite a fairly large printing.

Añadir al carritoTaschenbuch. Condición: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - ''Knights of the Golden Horseshoe and Other Lays'' is a collection of poems written by Robert Armistead Stewart and published in 1909. The book features a variety of lyrical and narrative poems that explore themes of adventure, chivalry, and romance. Many of the poems are inspired by historical events and figures, such as the titular Knights of the Golden Horseshoe, a group of explorers who journeyed into the Virginia wilderness in the early 18th century. Other poems draw on mythological and literary sources, including Arthurian legends and the works of Shakespeare. Throughout the collection, Stewart displays a love of language and a talent for crafting vivid imagery and engaging narratives. The book is a testament to the enduring appeal of poetry as a means of expressing the human experience and exploring the mysteries of the world around us.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
