A brief discussion of St. Geronimo Day when the Taos people perform the rites of their forefathers. In 1898 the first artist pioneers arrived which was comprised of Joseph Henry Sharp, Bert Phillips, and Ernest L. Blumenschein. Later came O. E. Berninghaus, E. Irving Couse, Walter Ufer, Victor Higgins and others. Art work by Ufer, Sharp, and Couse are shown. Written in ink on the front cover are the words "Taos Artist's Colony" else a very good, internally clean. tight copy.
