The letters range over wide subject areas and a variety of recipients, such as George Sterling, Mary Austin, Albert Bender, E.A. Robertson, and Lawrence Clark Powell, among many others. However, they have continuity - especially in his love for his wife and in his friendship with the poet George Sterling. Book.
