Burgundy cloth binding, embossed lettering to front board, gilt lettering and detail to spine. A little marking and scuffing to binding but quite clean and colouring still vivid, though a little discolouration to spine. Some signs of wear, rubbing at edges and on hinges. Slight slackness to binding but book contents reasonably firm, apart from a loose plate between pages 80 and 81. Page edges a little browned, scuffed, foxed and a bit marked. Some marking to endpapers, slight staining to edges of pastedowns and endpapers. The odd mark and bit of light foxing to some page surfaces but otherwise clean, no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information. 264 pp. n.
