Bevelled mount with double gold hand ruling. Wooden frame 480 x 370 mm; engraved area 320 x 205 mm. Not examined out of frame but there is a small stain in the margin lower right. Henry George Walker, 1876-1932, was born in Birmingham and attended Birmingham Municipal School of Art between 1897 and 1901. He owned his own design studio in 1907 and produced many polychrome and monochrome etchings in the early 1920s. 48 x 37 overall cm.

"A harangok Rómába mentek" was Jancsó's first feature film, a classical realistic story about children pressured to join the army during WWII, but they refuse to fight on German side againt the Russians on the eastern front, and try to rescue bells that are being taken to be used as metal for guns. Jancsó later dismissed his film, considered it too romantic thus false. .
