Black and white plate frontispiece, illustrated throughout in black and white. Some wear to outer corners and to head and heel of spine. White on front board retouched - can just make out 4 letters underneath. Pages browned, middle signature started, ink mark to one page. Previous owner's name to front endpage.

Very slight age-toning and wear to margins, otherwise near fine. The previous owner's name and date (1909) are written in a child's hand in pencil on the front endpaper and a few tiny stains to pages, otherwise very close to fine. An exceptional copy.
