Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Very Good. A.Ross Thomas Ilustrador. 1st Edition. The spelling of the author's name is contentious. I have used the version in the book. Morgan John Winthrop O'Donoven (1893-1969) won an MC in WWI and went on to return to the British army in WWII. He was the chief of a sept of the O'Donovan clan (hence the "The" O'Donoven) and lived in Lissard, Skibbereen, County Cork. This is an account of an almost 5000 mile drive through 9 countries in a 21/60 Wolseley Sportsman Saloon with a Union Jack and an Irish Tricolour flying on the bonnet. The author says of the Irish flag, "I felt it was about time that Europe saw again - the Irish colours, for continental peoples like my own - have long memories". The illustrations (chapter headings and full page) are of a high quality. The gilt shamrock on the front cover and spine, together with the green cloth give an indication of the author's loyalties. Some slight fading on covers - from sweaty hands?
