Includes the case of William Andrew Horne, hanged in Nottingham, England, Dece…mber 11, 1759, in his 75th year, for the murder of his infant child conceived incestuously with his sister Martha, the killing of which went undetected for 25 years, and the case of Francis David Stirn, who was convicted of murder in the shooting death of a Dr. Matthews, and poisoned himself while in jail, in Newgate, September 12, 1760, after a hunger strike.
