Promotional book issued in conjunction with the 1939 New York World's Fair, with a general overview of the history, roads, bridges, attractions, industires, aviation, farming, fishing, etc. Of Long Island, followed by more specific information on the larger towns. Nice memento of the days before suburban sprawl, with some interestingfphotos of scattered cars on the uncrowded parkways, and a fox hunt in Meadow Brook. Travel; history; ephemera.
