The author obtained access to Noah's papers shortly after Noah died. Contains 48 pages of autobiographical writings of Noah, biographical history by De Sormo, excerpts from Rondeau'…s journals, some of his correspondence, and some poems. The Cold River flows through some of the wildest and least visited areas of the Adirondack Park. Rondeau lived in primitive shelters in the area for a number of years. He was visited by the early Adirondack 46ers on their way to Couchsacraga and often served as a guide for that ascent. There is also included correspondence with various persons including Adoph Dittmar and Grace Hudowalski founding 46ers. This is a very beautiful copy and a unique biographical resource for this unusual time period. The book is pristine with numerous b&w photographs. The dust jacket has some slight edge wear near the front corner and the top of the spine. A beautiful copy of this item. Signed by Author(s).
