Later editions of three parts/volumes of "Englisches Artzney-Büchlein," a three-volume collection of medical writings, advices and prescriptions by several authors: Richard Lower (d. 1691), Luigi Cornaro (d. 1566), John Radcliffe (d. 1714) and others; translated by Christian Ludovicus. All parts/volumes are bound into one physic…al volume. Complete copies. Fraktur typesetting; title pages are decorated with printer's device; other pages are decorated with large woodcut headpieces and tailpieces. The first volume features an engraved portrait of Richard Lower. Both free endpapers have old notes written with pen (including owners' names from 1860); the first title page has owner's name from 1791. /// Leather binding with marlbed endpapers, coloured edges; hardback, [8]+217+[15], [8]+287+[9], [16]+306+[6] pp., 8° (10.5 x 17 cm), leather worn, rubbed, discoloured and chipped, corners bumped and rubbed, edges faded, with several small ink stains, endpapers faded, free endpapers darkened, frontispiece worn, darkened and perforated, pages yellowed, rarely with a few brown spots, some leaves have folded corners, a few pages have minor marking written with coloured pencil, a few pages have tiny ink stains, condition: good Book Language/s: German.
