Condición: Good. - Quarto [approximately 11 inches high by 8-1/2 inches wide], softcover bound in pictorial wrappers with a black-and-white cover illustration reproducing "Siegfried" by Franz Kline. The binding is bumped & lightly rubbed with some light foxing & soiling to the wraps. A mailing address is stamped on the rear wrap…. 38 pages. Black-and-white illustrations with Bayreuth and Metropolitan opera playbills reproduced in black on tan stock. The page corners are lightly bumped & the edges of the tan pages are slightly darkened. Good. The featured opera of the week is Wagner's "Siegfried", with articles on the opera by Lilian Foerster Loveday; on Italian Heldentenor Guiseppe Borgatti by Mary Jane Matz; and on the temporary building at Bayreuth by Ann M. Lingg. There is an article on the Ford Foundation's new opera program by W. McNeil Lowry.
