Añadir al carritoPresumed first edition (no edition/printing statement provided). i-v, [1], vi-vii, 1-114 pages. Paperback: H 22.75cm x L 15.25cm. Cream colored paper covers with minor soiling. Author's four-line generic inscription upon title page appears to be printed rather than handwritten. Interior pages are bright and clean. Binding remains fairly crisp. Lauderdale County, Mississippi resident recounts stories of his rural youth on his father's sharecropper farm during the Great Depression through his late life into the 1990s and very early 2000s. A majority of the book - Chapters 5 and 6 (pages 21-77) - reviews the author's WWII experiences from basic training through overseas duty in North Africa, India, Burma, etc. Undoubtedly a publication written primarily for family and friends with minimal distribution as OCLC does not cite any copies held by member institutions nor do any copies turn up via an independent search of Mississippi research libraries and the Meridian local history collection.
