Añadir al carritoPaperback. Condición: new. Paperback. To Know Your Child was inspired by the observation that adults get so busy in life that they miss seeing the fledgling spirits inside of their own children and inside of themselves. This book invites the reader to an inner journey exploring the eternal beauty of this love. This odyssey is a pilgrimage for parents who want to learn to be themselves and to guide their children to do the same. It is for those who long to see the beauty of self in their child and in themselves and to explore this bond more profoundly. Each poetic section of this work illuminates in succession the inner journey to Self. Beginning with a dedication and riddle, fellow travelers are led through progressive layers of reality to the realization that, to know one's child, one must first know oneself. This unfolding of the mystery of love leads to a deeper understanding of the bond between parent and child and culminates in a richer parent-child relationship. This item is printed on demand. Añadir al carritoPaperback. Condición: new. Paperback. While Pluhari's Poetry was first conceived as a chronicle of a woman's journey through life, it became evident that it is the interaction of spirit, time, place and love that provides experience with meaning. What began as bits of poetry soon grew into views of existence from the four dimensional perspectives of this book. The resulting poetry covers a wide range of encounters. Each poem is an introspective look at the emotions felt by a woman working to find and define herself. This passionate seeking inspires readers to respond thoughtfully to moving events in their own lives. Pluhari's Poetry is meant to be quickened by the passion aroused in the reader. Through these poems, the spiritual and timeless can be shared in a way not possible with prose. The brief meditations contained in this book can inspire the reader to look for spiritual connections that transcend the mundane, outward appearances of the everyday. This item is printed on demand. Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: new. Hardcover. As a path of meaning seeking, healing, and transformation, spirituality is becoming more prominent in our society. Historically, women have been the custodians of their families' spiritual domain. This book advances the concept of Woman Soul, a gender-specific way of embracing spirituality. WomanSoul discusses the personal and professional impact of spirituality in the lives of women from a variety of ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds. It examines the psychological, multicultural, and personal expressions of female spirituality. More specifically, the essays collected here look at the impact of women's spirituality on identity, healing, and transformation across the lifecourse. WomanSoul focuses on how females express spirituality from their diverse backgrounds and situated realities. It cuts across ethnic identities, culture, and a multitude of spiritual experiences, such as Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, Sufi, Goddess, Native American, and Agnosticism. As women tend to experience sacredness in a gender-specific manner, they frequently place more emphasis on spirituality than on religiousness. Seen as a freeing force by most women, spirituality is most often perceived to be more gender-fair, culturally liberating, and less restrictive than many religious denominations. Both informative and inspirational, WomanSoul is written by psychologists who understand the implications of spirituality on the lives of women and the people around them.
