Guillet, an award-winning photographer from the same town. Short meditative verses interleaved with full-page color images of flowers, foliage, and horses. Mary Land was a Louisiana writer best known regionally for Louisiana Cookery (1954) and New Orleans Cuisine (1969), and the author of two earlier poetry collections (Shadows of the Swamp; Abode). Guillet's photographs also appeared in the Service League of Natchitoches's Cane River Cuisine and in Eastman Kodak's Applied Photography. Scarce.

Laid-in between pages 200-201 is a brochure/order form by Montgomery, Alabama's Progressive Farmer-Southern Living Cookbook Library dated for 1968 which presumably is the same year this reprint was published.
