Internally, first free front endpaper torn out (starts with frontispiece and ends with free rear endpaper) , front hinge cracked, shaken, upper corners of first few leaves creased, otherwise tight, clean, relatively crisp and unmarked. Words, but no music, to college songs, poems, etc.

First Edition. Octavo. 407pp. This is a very nice copy of the first state of the first appearance of this immortal baseball poem although the publisher bound some copies in a different style cover. This second state cover is more pleasing in artistic sense, with white cloth boards, [some were issued in green boards] with cover design and lettering gilt, spine and top edge gilt. Inner front hinge is weakening. A very nice copy. In mylar wrap.
