This volume examines the quality of the vocational and technological training in Oman in terms of labour market needs as well as the perceptions of employers and employees of local and international organisations. In order to achieve the study objectives, quantitative and qualitative test instruments were used to ensure triangulation of data and sources. Data was collected from a randomly selected study sample of Colleges of Technology graduates in ten private sector companies and ten public sector organisations; Ministry of Manpower officials and Colleges of Technology administrators and academic staff; private and public sector managers' and supervisors. The findings and conclusions indicated the need to develop the colleges' programmes to train HR rather than students to meet the needs and requirements of labour market, mainly the private sector, bearing in mind the market orientation challenges. Accordingly, further cooperation with the private and the public sectors during the college's training programmes and after graduation was also recommended.
