This book is about the most controversial art exhibition ever held in Australia. The 1939 Herald Exhibition was the biggest commercial collection of modern and expressionist painting to leave Europe, but it scandalised Double Bay and Toorak society. When war broke out, the artworks were warehoused in Australia. VG. A few light bumps around the edges of jacket otherwise a very nice copy.
