Richard Huelsenbeck (1892-1974), a participant in the founding of Dada at the Cabaret Voltaire in Zurich, introduced the movement to Berlin in 1918 and became one of its principal theorists and propagandists. Published by the Malik-Verlag in the year of the First International Dada Fair, Dada siegt presents his history and interpretation of Dada and its development from Zurich to the more explicitly political Berlin movement. The wrapper, a photomontage by Grosz and Heartfield, reflects the visual language developed by Berlin Dada and brings together three of its central figures in a single publication.
