Pages are clean though paper is very lightly toned due to age. No handwriting or signatures other than that of the author, no bookplates, no library markings, no remainder marks. The authors inscription reads: "Your Arctic friend, David Irwin". First edition thus the single date of 1935 appearing on the copyright page. Signed by Author(s).

The book measures 220mm tall x 145mm, and has 254 pages, 17 b/w photos, EP map. Account of Irwin's 3,600-mile dog-sledge trip from Nome Alaska to Churchill on Hudson Bay. Initially he joined another to help him wrangle a giant herd of reindeer to feed starving Eskimos, but shortly departed on his own, due to hostilities, for the solo trip to Churchill.
