Hardback. Condición: Good. First Edition. [6], 9-20pp, plates. Bound in half morocco and cloth, title in gilt to spine. Boards slightly warped from damp, with some light staining to covers. Some minor colour bleed from the cloth onto the edges of the endpapers, but the text and plates are generally quite bright and clean. Presen…tation copy from Wragg, with inscription to ffep, 'For Martin from Raggy (Christmas, Polperro 1944)'. A non-standard binding, presumably by the publishers for the author to give away. The pictures illustrate Jesus's cries from the cross, and "show a new departure in Wragg's art away from the realistic and towards the surreal" (Brook, 'Arthur Wragg', page 89) Size: 4to (Oblong). Wragg, Arthur (ilustrador). Presentation Copy from Author.

Unbound. Condición: Good. First Edition. [6], 9-16pp, plates. Small amounts of staining from a rusty paper clip to text and sample plates titles, otherwise fairly bright. The unbound and untrimmed sheets, a proof copy with annotations by Wragg and others, and two sets of the plates, but without the half title, pages 17-20, and t…itles of plates one, two, and three; probably as sent, with a note explaining that "title pages to plates I, II, and III not available at the moment: but am sending this to avoid delay in correcting the rest of text". With a few corrections and additions, including the addition of the dedication to Dick Sheppard, presumably in Wragg's hand. The pictures illustrate Jesus's cries from the cross, and "show a new departure in Wragg's art away from the realistic and towards the surreal" (Brook, 'Arthur Wragg', page 89) Size: 4to (Oblong). Wragg, Arthur (ilustrador).
