Anti income-tax appeal by Tom Van Hyning: ".the Internal Revenue Act is the key and door to dictatorship, and completely unconstitutional.you can refuse to pay another cent of Federal Tax until, IN YOUR JUDGMENT, the Federal Government starts living within the law. Five hundred citizens INDIVIDUALLY acting thus would completely wreck the iniquitous Federal tax structure on which all the other iniquities depend." The author's mother was Lyrl Clark Van Hyning, founder and editor of the ultraconservative, anti-Semitic The Women's Voice, from which publication the present piece is reprinted. Not located in OCLC.

Añadir al carritoA newsprint broadside reprinting material from the far right periodical Women's Voice, which was edited and published by We, the Mothers, Mobilize for America founder Lyrl Clark Van Hyning. Content includes two short articles by Van Hyning's husbaightnd, Tom, on his refusal to pay federal income tax due to U.S.'s Lend-Lease Bill, which he maintains was unconstitutional (based on the 5th Amendment and in opposition to the 16th). Also included are two brief excerpts from George Washington and Abraham Lincoln on the people's right to assert themselves. This broadside is tame in comparison to much of Women's Voice content, which was typically incendiary and anti-Semitic. Newsprint sheet (11" x 8 ½") printed in blue. Browning to cheap stock, some edge wear and tiny nicks, but a very good copy of a fragile item. A variant exists in WorldCat, but no record for this version.
