Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book is a detailed introduction to the New Testament, providing readers with an in-depth look at its historical and literary context. The author examines the chronological order of the Gospels, discussing the evidence for Matthew's primacy and the reasons for its widespread acceptance. The book also explores the practical and theological aims of the author of Matthew, as well as the significance of its Jewish context. The author goes on to assess the relationship between the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and discusses the evidence for the existence of other early Christian writings, including the Gospel of the Hebrews and the Gospel of the Nazoraeans. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…

Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book contends that all four gospels that comprise the New Testament canon were derived from a common, earlier source, an original Aramaic "proto-gospel" that was used by all of the gospel writers. The author's examination of the substantial number of parallel passages between the gospels, as well as the variations in word choice and phraseology, builds a case for the existence of this proto-gospel. While the author acknowledges that other scholars have put forth similar theories, this volume offers a comprehensive analysis of the linguistic evidence to buttress the idea of an original source text. By examining the history of the language of Palestine in Jesus's time and the level of Greek literacy among the apostles, the author argues that Aramaic was the most likely language of composition. This innovative, substantial examination sheds new light on the origins of the gospels, offering fresh perspectives on the nature and development of the New Testament canon. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…

An extraordinary record of The American West, Oregon, and individual retellilngs, of the individuals and families who forged the communities which today yet thrive. ".Possibly one of McComas's most interesting adventures was the manufacturing and sale of his 'Whirlwind Kidney and Rheumatic Remedy", which we will briefly describe: McComas had befriended Chief Whirlwind of the Umatilla Indians by helping him avoid having his long hair cut. Whirlwind was very proud of his waist length hair. In turn Whirlwind has come to McComas's aid in a land deal. The who men were close friends. Whirlwind gave McComas the formula for an Indian Medicine made from native Bluemountain plants. McComas manufactured the medicine and put it on the market with a flashy advertising campaign. It was listed by wholesale drug firms of the West coast and continued to sell while the production continued.".…
