Here he presents the historical 19th and 20th Century context for the League's founding, before going into detail on the steps leading up to its foundation and the role played by Nuri Said, its objectives, and where it stands on Arab Nationalism. Appendices contain the texts of the Alexandria Protocol (1944) which led to the formation of the League, and the Pact itself (1945).
