Originally published as "Piling Busters" by Jack P. Shipley, this volume actually contains three books for three separate years describing tow boating experiences in the Puget Sound area: 1950 [pp. 1-42], 1951 [pp. 43-92]; and 1952 [pp. 93-116]. This is a collection of stories by hundreds of tugboat and towboat men, each one attributed to a single individual. Jack P. Shipley was President of Piling Busters, Inc. and was on the Editorial Board of the publication. Just a treasure trove of interesting, charming and humorous stories told by the men whose experiences they narrate. A rare find and a "must have" for anyone interested in tug boats or tow boats.
