In April 1967 the University of Cincinnati hosted a symposium, "Perspectives in American Underground Film" with Stan Brakhage, John Cage, Jonas Mekas, and Stan Vanderbeek. Remarks by the artists were taped, transcribed and published as Cinema Now, no. 1. This is quite likely the only issue published. Nicely designed and illustrated with photographs of the artists and film stills. The word "cross" is written, inexplicably, at the top of p. 28 in the hand of poet Jack Collom, previous owner of this copy, and brother-in-law to Stan Brakhage. Near fine.
