With photographic endpapers, two colour maps and scores of photographs and reproductions, many presented full-page or double-spread, plus essays by Sheila Kaye-Smith, Rev. Miles Sargent, the Dean of Rochester and Arthur Waugh (on Charles Dickens and Kent). Includes a full-page Edward Bawden Shell advertisement. Top edge lightly spotted, and with a minor wave to the paperstock. A very good copy in slightly dust soiled price-clipped dust wrapper, rubbed at the upper edge with a single tiny fraction of loss and some internal taped reinforcement. …
