It took barely half an hour to reach Joseph Beuys in Düsseldorf, then go on to Andy Warhol in New York, to Kaii Higashiyama in Tokyo and back to the Museum of Modern Art in Vienna. Half an hour that would also be sufficient to start the relentless machinery of a worldwide inferno of war - made possible by technical ad- vancements, to which we are owing, besides many ingenious, pleasant and useful things, also this kind of "prog- ress". Technical progress, that never- theless rendered "Global-Art-Fusion" feasible, too and that, although it could not trigger the peace of the world, managed to stand as a sign of this peace, for "Global-Art-Fusion" was staged "under the sign of peace".
