The Photographer of the Year was Bruce Davidson, represented by a six-page portfolio; W. Eugene Smith (4-pages), Diane Arbus (2-pages), and Jerry Uelsmann (6-pages) each received an award with honorary citations awarded to Jacob Deschin, Peter C. Goldmark, and Walter Clark. Edited by Richard Okamoto. Staple-bound, self-wrappers; 32 pages; b&w illustrations throughout; 8.5 x 11 inches. Condition: Good magazine with a vertical crease, a short tear/crease to the back cover, and a mailing address stamped to the back; the interior is generally clean except the middle spread which has extensive spotting along the gutter. Will be sandwiched securely between stiff layers of cardboard and shipped the next business day.

What a shame because of all the famous Hungarian scientists Peter is the best, inventing color TV, LP records, Fax machines and so much more. And this memoir really shows what it is like in the corporate world. An unrecognized gem of a book. 278 pages with index.

In this case, amid a plethora of weirdly familiar curiosities (recognizable because soon developed further), is shown (in doublespread colorphoto) an invention by none other than Abraham Lincoln, patent applied for with scale model in 1849, of a "New Improved Manner of Buoying Vessels Over Shoals" (see index). Also find a number of early Thomas Edison efforts, some of which took commercial form. Book is hardbound in white cloth boards gilt and enclosed in the dust jacket. Book itself is fine all around, the dj is a little edgeworn: sound, clean and unmarked in any way.
