The booklet has a dual use of teaching about the Bancroft Library in general, and also includes a short list of upcoming books relating to Californiana. The text pages are generally clean and bright, but has one inked notation ("trade edition") and a couple of lightly penciled notations. "The Bancroft Library is located on the east side of Doe Library, just northwest of the Campanile. First housed in the attic of California Hall, The Bancroft moved into its present quarters in 1950.
