    144 pages. Hardcover: H 23.25cm x L 15.5cm. Blue cloth rubbed; cloth losses at frayed spine ends and board corners; gilt stamped lettering "American Sings" on front board. Ink stamp "School Library | Pinson, Ala." at tops of pages 25, 73, and 113; chipping losses to musical score/lyrics on pages 48-50 and 89-90; several other leaves with slender edge-wear; occasional pencil markings. Book was evidently originally issued in wraps with those paper covers removed upon the WPA rebinding which added brown endpapers in their place. Muted and somewhat smudged four-line ink stamp "Rebound by | W.P.A. Project [illegible] | For Jefferson County Schools, | Birmingham, Alabama." Another Jefferson County WPA rebinding in past inventory was project #5364 - this book's project number is smudged/faded but appears to be only three digits so perhaps each book that went through the bindery was assigned a unique number.…
