Due to the fact that the books had until their discovery been concealed in a secret room, the original inventory -- with the exception of several volumes of fiction, which were probably not deemed worthy of being hidden -- has survived the years nearly complete and comprises slightly more than 600 volumes dating from 1845 to 1925, among them numerous made-up volumes containing up to 17 pamphlets and brochures." p. 327.
