Exterior shows scuffing and spotting, spine is faded with heavy chipping to edges, corners show bumps/wear. The interior binding shows cracks at both the front and rear boards but the text pages are good and secure. There are no signatures or bookplates, no library markings. The only evidence of handwriting is on the front end page where just barely see where a price was once penciled in the corner. Pages are quite toned due to age and the end pages and pastedowns are even darker, so the pages can be a bit brittle. There is no publication date listed (ca. 1890) and although this is written in German, it was published in Philadelphia. The main reason for the low condition grade is because of the interior hinge cracks at both boards.
