Leather and Cloth. Volumes 1-6 are leather bound. Raised bands, bold embossing on spine and covers with coat of arms. Awarded as a "first reading prize" from Trinity College, Cambridge in 1896 [attested by bookplate]. New Testament volumes [4 volumes] are blue cloth bound as are the two volumes on the Apocrypha. Volumes 1-6 are in good condition with some scuffing to the boards. The second volume of the Apocrypha has a crack at the lower hinge and a piece of tape from a prior attempt to reinforce. The boards and hinges of the New Testament volumes show a bit more wear, especially volume one which is frayed along the board hinges, especially the back hinge. Despite the few instances of hinge distress or wear, the interior bindings are all sound. No underlining or notes in the text, possible that we missed isolated occurances. Blind stamp in each volume. pp.
