Though she wrestled with a novel, a book about her trip to America and her autobiography, writer's block continued to impese her. During these years, however, she produced her translation of Colette and Voltaire, the Frost in May Quartet was republished and The Hound and the Falcon appeared. Antonia White's increasing love for her daughters preoccupied her later years, as did her battles against the old demons of depression and lack of money and the new demon of age. All are recorded here with admirable courage and humour.
