A fairly scarce and important work issued in the Classics in Anthropology series, Needham's introductory essay and biography+bibliography of the author was a major contribution, rescuing him from undeserved obscurity and negect. As the provenance marking is essentially confined to first opening this remains a very acceptable copy. …
