A well-preserved copy published a few years before Eagleson was brought to justice on both sides of the border for racketeering, obstruction of justice, embezzlement and fraud. A tight copy with sharp corners. The jacket is bright, crisp and price intact. Light tanning to the top and bottom edges of the white flaps. Bobby Orr is the client who Eagleson defrauded most famously. Eagleson writes about it in two chapters entitled The Break with Orr - Part I and II. On pg. 206 of Orr: My Story, Orr writes that "After Eagleson's conviction, a roster of legends--including Brad Park, Gordie Howe, Bobby Hull, Johnny Bucyk, and Ted Lindsay--and I announced that if Eagleson were permitted to remain in the Hockey Hall of Fame, we would resign from it. Before he could be kicked out, he resigned" (Toronto: Viking, 2013). An autographed first printing of Orr: My Story is also available from this bookseller. The two books serve as companion pieces and, together, the set could be called "The Good, the Bad and the Hockey". A piece of Canadiana, this is a truly unique and well-preserved copy of a scarcely autographed book published a few years before Eagleson was brought to justice on both sides of the border for racketeering, obstruction of justice, embezzlement and fraud. The dedication reads, "To Peter Thanks for kicking-off the book tour. Your contribution to Canada is outstanding. 'Morningside' is a fixture around our house. Sincerely 'The Eagle.' Black paper boards and binding with gold titles and white endpapers. A tight copy with sharp corners. Two, small, faint tea-colored stains on the bottom exposed page edges, next to the spine. The jacket is bright, crisp and price intact. Tanning to the top and bottom edges of the white flaps and typical shelf wear to the surface of the panels. Bobby Orr is the client who Eagleson defrauded most famously. Eagleson writes about it in two chapters entitled The Break with Orr - Part I and II.
