Original 30 page revised draft shooting script used in the production of the television comedy series, Pete and Gladys, entitled ÔThe Prize,Õ written by Devery Freeman, which aired on February 12, 1962 (Season 2, Episode 21). Bradbound. Near fine copy with just a hint of use in printed wrappers. Pete and Gladys was one of the first television series spin-offs, developing from the popular show, December Bride, and starred Harry Morgan (Dragnet and M*A*S*H) as Pete Porter and Cara Williams as his wife, Gladys.

US Police officer Madeleine Haley (Claire Trevor) goes undercover to get close to Pete Ritchie (Raymond Burr) the leader of a drug-smuggling ring in Mexico. Just as she meets Ritchie, she is kidnapped by Johnny Macklin (Fred MacMurray), who unbeknownst to her is an undercover federal agent. Shot on location in Southern California. 10 x 8 inches. Janet Ames (Rosalind Russell) seeks out five soldiers who her husband sacrificed his life for during World War II. After suffering a serious injury she meets Smithfield "Smitty" Cobb (Melvyn Douglas) who helps her find the men her husband saved, though he does not tell her he is one of them. He tries to help her reconcile her pain and guilt, while he treats his own pain from the war with heavy drinking. 8 x 10 inches. Near Fine.

Sean Penn's film debut and Tom Cruise's first major role. Set at the fictional Bunker Hill Military Academy, shot on location in Wayne, Valley Forge, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Copy belonging to technical advisor Major Lane Carlson, with his name in manuscript blue ink on a label affixed on the front wrapper, and his annotations throughout. Carlson acted as a consultant on the military aspects of the film, as the film involves Francis joining the Army, going to the Pentagon, etc. Salmon titled wrappers, noted as Final Screenplay on the front wrapper, dated February 9, 1954. 157 leaves, Multilith duplication, with blue, pink, and yellow revision pages throughout, dated variously between 2-17-54 and 4-5-54. Pages and wrapper Very Good plus, in a three ring binder used during production.
