reprint dust jacket Nice copies tall octavo 395, cc.400, 399pp., b/w plates, drawings, Volume I in original decorated cloth; vols. II & III in dust jackets (vol. II is still shrink-wrapped). Photos, & possibly drawings, are a fascinating view of Soviet low culture. Text is somewhat doubtful; primary author may have been mentally disturbed given the rather hysterical nature of much of the text & evidenced by his other publications. Still a valuable contribution to Soviet cultural history. Although reprinted several times these volumes, especially volumes I & II are hard to find.
