Published by Tallis Publishing, Sheffield in 1977, First Edition. 172 pages, all intact and good tight binding. Stan Collins life as a London Tramwayman began in 1913, at the LCC Tramways Central Repair Depot at Charlton, it finished thirty-eight years later, in the early hours of the morning, less than a mile away, when he drove Streatham's last tram through the gates of a scrap yard. In his own words, transcribed directly from tape recordings, Stan Collins here describes the life of a London Tramwayman and the workings of the LCCT tram system.
