Añadir al carritoPaperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This insightful book explores the tranquil world of a remote valley community and the lives of its inhabitants through the eyes of a country parson. Set in a time when mountain life reflected older customs and traditions, the author captures the essence of a forgotten way of life. The reader is transported back to a community where the parson acts as the moral compass, where the parish clerk holds mystical importance, and where a deep respect for nature and religious conviction underpins daily life. Weaving together historical detail, personal anecdotes, and an analysis of the period's social and economic challenges, this book not only documents a lost world but also explores universal themes of faith, community, and the enduring power of tradition. Through the author's vivid portrayal, the reader gains a profound understanding of how past generations lived and coped, making this book a valuable contribution to both social history and pastoral studies. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
