The covers are unmarked, with cracked hinge to front from tail end and a little loose; the corners and spine cloth ends bumped and frayed. Slightly tanned free end papers; 'bequest' inscription on front free end paper. Small white bookseller's stamp on front paste down from Parker & Son, Oxford. Gilt top edge; the fore and tail edges are deckled and tanned. The text block is firm and square, foxing to some pages. With 'thirty-one full page illustrations from original drawings by Harold Copping' . Very good condition. The frontispiece has tissue guard (tanned).
