This book arranges the 38 European raptor species into seven groups according to morphology, and describes what members of each have in common, and what they don't. "For this second edition the text has been revised, with more detailed revisions to the 'Buzzards', Aquila and Accipiter sections. Some drawings have also been revised by the artist in the light of recent knowledge, and there are 42 new photographs." .
