Replicated title page with frontispiece of The Snark and facsimile signature of London. Jack London built the 2-masted yacht Snark in 1906. After many delays, he set out with his wife Charmian on a prolonged voyage to the South Pacific. He taught himself celestial navigation on the trip and includes details in one of the chapters. After visiting Hawaii and the Solomon Islands, his trip was cut short by illness. This edition is complete with 120 original photographs. Each book in the collection contains the text, illustrations, and cover from the first edition 0f 1911. (but it is not a photocopy). In addition to the photographs, the edition has text that has been proofread to avoid errors common in other versions, a handsome cover that replicates the first edition cover, the complete text in an easy-to-read font similar to the original. Properly formatted text complete with correct indenting, spacing, footnotes, italics, and tables. John Griffith Chaney better known as Jack London, was an American novelist, journalist and activist. A pioneer of commercial fiction and American magazines, he was one of the first American authors to become an international celebrity and earn a large fortune from writing. He was also an innovator in the genre that would later become known as science fiction.

Not price clipped (18s), no personal inscriptions, internally clean and tight, overall a reasonable copy. 184pp. 'The Assassination Bureau, Ltd' was begun by American author Jack London (1876-1916), and finished long after his death by thriller writer Robert L. Fish (1912-81). The plot follows Ivan Dragomiloff, who, in a twist of fate, finds himself pitted against the secret assassination agency he founded. The novel was based on an idea London purchased from author Sinclair Lewis (Elmer Gantry) in early 1910. London wrote 20,000 words on the novel before he gave it up later that same year, saying he could not find a logical way to conclude it. He died leaving the book unfinished. The Assassination Bureau, Ltd. will assassinate evildoers, for example, corrupt police commissioners, legislators, politicians, etc.; but will not act unless convinced that the target truly is worthy of assassination. In 1963, mystery writer Fish completed the novel based on the unfinished manuscript with additional notes by London and an ending outline done by London's wife Charmian shortly before her death in 1955. Quite a scarce book.

Not price clipped (price on spine and front jacket 1/6), no inscriptions, internally clean tight and square, overall a vg+ copy for its age. 185pp. collection of Jack London's (1876-1916), classic short stories of adventure, action, and social observation. The eponymous main character is Christopher Bellew, a San Francisco journalist who heads to Alaska to cover the latest gold rush. As happens with Jack London's tales, it turns into a rough experience that transforms the young dandy into a tough survivor.
