Pages remain clear with minimal tanning and foxing, mild to end-papers and text-block edges. Minor pencil marking to front free end-paper. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Cloth has moderate damp and dust stains. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is darkened. Unclipped jacket has heavy edge-wear with some areas of loss, heavy tears, chips and creasing. Large amount of loss to rear panel.

It has chips at the ends of the spine, else minor loss only, with a short closed tear at top corner and another on the lower side. Dulled at spine, but still in reasonably good condition.
