The letters largely date from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s. A few have small tears or slight offsetting, but most are near fine or better. Dr. Braude was a scholar and apparent autograph collector. The majority of the letters address, to one degree or another, Braude's fulsome praise of the author's work, and apparent inquiry of each author for further information on their complete list of published books.
