I've always been happy that there was someone as sick and twisted as I am.' --George Carlin 'I can think of no one more unqualified to say anything about Robert Crumb's artwork than myself. In fact, it's useless for most cartoonists of my generation to do so; without him, there wouldn't 'be' any cartoonists of my generation.' --Chris Ware, 'The Acme Novelty Library' In the first book written about controversial underground comix artist R. Crumb, Beauchamp offers a diverse collection of tributes from more than 40 of Crumb's peers, including Matt Groening, Roger Ebert, Harvey Pekar, Bill Griffith, and Peter Kuper. 24 illustrations. 8-page color insert. Añadir al carritoSoft cover. Condición: Very Good. No Jacket. 2nd Edition. Midwood Books No. F102. Previously published by Midwood as Unwilling Sinner in 1959. This edition gives the original publication date of 1959 but probably came out in the early 1960s. Unwilling Sinner was a paperback original. This is the first printing of "and when she was bad". The book's pages are lightly toned but clean without creases, marks, stains or wrinkles. There is no reading crease in the spine and the book does not lean. The book's exterior is spotless. There are some very light creases in the upper right corner of the front cover. There is a very tiny chip in the lower left corner of the back cover and slight soiling to the spine-edge of the back cover. Very little wear otherwise. (Note: Photos may show a flash reflection.) PayPal always welcome. We pack all our books with care and ship in cardboard boxes. Shipment outside of the United States may require extra funds. Additional photos emailed upon request.

Añadir al carritoNo Binding. Condición: Very Good. Original publisher's beige paper pamphlet. Text printed in black ink. Several pages unopened. Pamphlet bound by a small piece of string at center near spine. 6 1/4" x 10." Thirty-five pages, complete. Pages are very clean and intact except for moderate foxing, light age toning, and slight wear to extremities. A Very Good copy. This is a pamphlet published by Peter Force that reprints an account promoting settlement in the New Albion Province of Virginia Colony during the seventeenth century. The pamphlet gives advice to prospective travelers or settlers to Virginia about the provisions and costs of traveling to the Colony. There are several mentions of "Indian Kings" and included is a reprinted letter by Robert Evelin who lived in Virginia for many years. The original document this pamphlet reprints was first published in 1648. Peter Force (1790-1868) was an American printer, publisher, editor, and historian. Force is perhaps best-known for his comprehensive collection of early American historical documents and for publishing them. This pamphlet is an example of one of Force's publications that became a part of a his four-volume publication of reprinted historical documents titled, Tracts and Other Papers, Relating to the Origin, Settlement, and Progress of the Colonies in North America, that was published between 1836 and 1846.
