This book has been written mainly to meet the requirements of students pursuing a course of study for an Intermediate University Examination. it is based chiefly on The Turorial Chemisty, Part II., Metals and Physical Chemistry, by Dr. G. H. Bailey, which has enjoyed such great success for many years. The book is divided into two sectons. Section I is devoted to General and Physical Chemistry and has been prepared by Mr. H. W. Bausor. Section II consists of a systematic treatment of the Metals based on the periodic Law. The historical side has been given its due place and technical processes have been treated as simply and as fully as Intermediate standard would require. Comparatively few experiements are included. These have been chosen, however, so that they are easily performed, yet at the same time will afford the student material assisatnce in grasping the context. 429 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions ,and all types of Academic Literature.).
