Initially, the club's efforts were focused on the Spanish Missions, later to expand to other buildings and sites of historic interest. The pamphlet, published in the summer of 1916, presented the history of the club and its achievements to date. It also advertised "Candle Day" at Mission San Fernando, a charity event and celebration of the 147th anniversary of Gov.
