The story's setting is Nebraska. The library markings are on the spine strip and the front endpaper. The top edge of the spine strip is frayed; the bottom edge is less thus. Covers show some soiling, rubbing, scuffing and faint red marker marks as well as some small stains. Edges show some bumping, rubbing, scuffing, fraying and wear. Spine shows some darkening, rubbing and fraying. Pages are brown and crisp from age and binding is a bit crispy and worn.
